  • Welcome all guests and visitors by introducing yourself. Treat newcomers as you would like to be treated.
  • Line up at the beginning of class with highest belt rank to the right.

  • No mobile phone on the mat during class.
  • No picture or video taping the classes.
  • No food or gum on the mat.

  • During sparring, only apply as much force as needed. Never intentionally harm anyone.
  • Please notify the instructor if you need to leave the class early.
  • Please do not take off your gi top during the class, uniform must be worn throughout.

HYGIENE

  • Maintain good hygiene (i.e., shower and brush your teeth regularly).
  • Wash your gear (gi, rash guards, knee sleeves and/or shorts) after every training session. This not only keeps you smelling clean, but it also prevents the spread of infectious skin diseases.
  • Do not wear the same Gi for two classes in a row.
  • Do not attend class if you are sick, or have a skin infection (Ringworm, Athletes foot, Staph etc…). You will be asked to leave class if you are found to have any of the aforementioned aliments.
  • Keep shoes off the mat, so we can prevent the spread of infectious skin diseases. Wear shoes/flip-flops when off the mat and when going to the toilet.
  • Keep finger and toe nails short and clean to prevent injury to yourself and others.
  • Bring a towel to No-Gi Class especially if you are heavy sweater.

In summary, we at Atlantic Jiu Jitsu are committed to providing a safe, clean and enjoyable training experience for everyone. Please follow these guidelines and enjoy training!
