Atlantic Jiu Jitsu host Seminar with legendary Jiu-Jitsu World champion, Rubens “Cobrinha” Charles.
Almost a year since his last visit, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu legend Cobrinha Charles was back on the mats in Sligo.
A Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) Seminar with black-belt world champion Rubens “Cobrinha” Charles, took place at Atlantic Jiu Jitsu over January 23rd & 24th.
Over 70 Brazilian Jiu Jitsu practitioners traveled from all over Ireland, including Donegal, Galway Limerick, Dublin, and Derry to learn from the prolific BJJ Champion, Cobrinha. The seminar allowed Brazilian Jiu Jitsu enthusiasts from all levels, white belt to black belt, to learn new skills, gain knowledge from a BJJ great and also train alongside him.
This seminar was a great opportunity for anyone who had a passion for the sport and wanted to gain insights from one of the best out there right now. Cobrinha shared many new skills and approaches to moves that many had never used before.
The two seminars were attended by 70 BJJ enthusiasts. Cobrinha demonstrated his expertise and knowledge well to those in attendance and kept everyone entertained as he made his teaching style interactive.
Cobrinha demonstrated new skills and techniques such as collar drag techniques, guard recovery and various drills. His teaching was very attentive and he spent time making sure all had mastered the move before moving on. His great attention to specifics and accuracy show why he is one of the best out there today.
The seminar was deemed a success by the organisers and those in attendance. The feedback from the participants was extremely positive. We hope to have Cobrinha back one day in the future as he is always welcome at Atlantic Jiu Jitsu. A fantastic start to the year!
