Are you interested in training grappling through Irish? We’re bringing together grapplers and Gaeilgeoirí for a unique one-day event focused on training, language, and community.
On April 4th we will be having an Irish Language Grappling Workshop. It would be great if you can attend.

This event is for all levels of Irish and grappling. The main purpose is to promote the Irish language and make it more accessible to people in everyday life by learning in a fun sport training environment.

10:00 – 11:00 Terminology Comhrá / Ciorcal Teanga A discussion for experienced speakers or coaches
- Build grappling terminology in Irish
- Share coaching language & phrases
- Connect with other Irish-speaking practitioners
11:00 – 13:00 Grappling Workshop Trí Ghaeilge Open Mat Through Irish for every level.
- Led by Richie MacDonnacha, BJJ Black belt and fluent native speaker.
- Open to all levels (grappling & Irish)
- Learn, drill, and train through Irish
- Opportunity for guest instructors to teach in Irish
- Finish with Collar & Elbow wrestling, Bring a jacket for this.
13:00 – 15:00 Normal Open Mat
- The usual open mat will go ahead just pushed back an hour
- No fundamentals class on this day
After the Workshop (Optional) 13.00
